First of all, her blog is a great resource, so if you are a photography fan you should totally check it out! Second of all, this is the first time I’ve been interviewed as a photographer! I had a little experience with this kind of thing back in the scrapbook days, but somehow that didn’t feel as personal as this…or maybe it is because I’ve learned to be more open since then. Just a quick sneak peek for my friend Patty. I have to say that I think this was one of my favorite shoots all year, and it isn’t just because this family is beautiful. This shoot was an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and a wonderful reminder that sometimes no matter how much time has passed, some friendships are meant to be…and that is a little something extra to be grateful for this holiday.

This was such a fun shoot! Girls girls everywhere! I remember when the dad of this bunch was a high school senior and I was a lowly freshman, I seem to remember him surrounded by girls then too! None as beautiful as this group though…such easy smiles and giggles, even if I did see that the tooth fairy ended up paying a visit to at least two of them the night of the shoot! We got absolutely amazing weather, and even though we were losing light fast when we got to the beach, I couldn’t stop snapping pics of them all against that incredible sky. I love so many of these images, but when they all danced in the surf and finally started to forget I was there, my heart skipped a beat. Such a beautiful sky and such a beautiful family. Thanks guys…I mean girls and Warren!

I was pretty excited to photograph this baby girl. I was in school with her mom studying ASL for a couple  of years and it was so fun to meet her. Let me tell you…this little girl gives center of the universe new meaning. While I was shooting her grandparents stoppped by, and at one point everyone was singing her “take me out to the ballgame”. I think even the dog may have been getting in on the act….they were so mesmerized by the baby that I’m not even sure they noticed when I slipped around to take this shot.
